I'm forwarding this to the regular Vanagon list because I too would like to learn what options there are. It would be very useful to be able to access the list (and email/internet in general) via my laptop when I'm camping in my Westy over the summer! My laptop has a modem but don't believe there is any way to interface it with my cell phone (a digital Audiovox with Bell Atlantic service, in my case). Is this strictly a function of the individual cellular carrier's capabilities, or is there a universally adaptable solution? - Ron Salmon The Bus Depot, Inc. http://www.busdepot.com > From: <ccastigliano@sprintmail.com> > To: <vanagon@egroups.com> > Sent: Tuesday, May 30, 2000 3:01 PM > Subject: [vanagon] Suggestions for internet access on the road? > > wow - there's not much activity on this list since I last visited. > We're gearing up for a 2-month cross-country trip in our 91 Westy > (purchased with lots of help from this list.) Do any of you have suggestions for access en route?
