First off...

Second, never do what they want to get yourself off the list. It
confirms your e-mail address and you will get SPAM like never before.

I thinks the List Administrators are trying to clean up the Spam stuff
on the vanagon list, but it isn't easy. To do so 100% is to not allow
posts except from anyone on the list. A PITA for those of us who monitor
the list at work through POP mail accounts like hotmail (i.e. Robot, AKA
me!)

So don't do the remove thing.. they don't have YOUR address, they only
have GERRY's. Until you give it to them. Just hit delete.
