This is my first post to the list, so I thought I would start off with a
really stupid question.

My '85 Westfalia has two batteries, one under each seat.  Which is the main
battery, and which is the accessory battery?  Are they separated so that the
vehicle runs off one?  Mine is a Weekender pop-top -- no stove, sink or
fridge.  There's an accessory outlet on the side of the passenger seat
pedestal, so I thought the accessory battery is  under the passenger seat.
