A few weeks ago, I asked for opinions on whether or not we should "close"
the list in an effort to eliminate SPAM messages. Closing the list means
that non-subscribers cannot post to the list.

The majority of respondents wanted to leave the list "open"...but they only
beat out the "close the list" by a few votes. Based on that, I have changed
the list policy so that when a non-subscriber posts to the list, Gerry will
forward the mail message to me for approval before distributing it to the
list. This will tighten things up just a little.

If you post from e-mail address that is different that the one you
subscribed with, expect a delay before your post goes out since I will need
to approve it first. I tend to check the server 4-5 times a day, so the
delay should be minimal.
