Granted the exchange rate is favorable, however, you are assuming that
the set of tires that sells in the USA for $400 US dollars would sell in
Canada for $400 Canadian dollars. This is most likely not the case.

In my summer travels to Canada the past few years I have often found
Canadian prices to be higher in "dollar" terms than those in the US. IE:
that soft drink that costs $1.00 US in a vending machine in Maine may
require $1.50 in Canadian coins in Quebec. Or, that seafood dinner that
costs $12.95 in Maine might cost $19.95 in New Brunswick.

I suspect that tire pricing would be similar. Wouldn't hurt to
investigate though.

Best wishes,

Tony
