OK you guys stop the bickering and get the STEBRO/Vanagon Stainless Steel
Muffler. It does not need any brackets, it has its own. It does not
need a tail pipe, it has its own. No need to fool around with trying to
figure out which end and how the tailpipe goes on. One less gasketed
connection it the exhaust system, too. The muffler pops into place in a few
minutes and lines up exactly with the existing bolt holes in the cast muffler
bracket carrier. Pop in the four stainless steel bolts that are supplied,
put on the stainless steel flat washers, lock washers and nuts, put the
doughnut gasket between the muffler inlet pipe and the CAT, pop in the three
stainless steel bolts (supplied) in the muffler to CAT flanges, and tighten
up the seven bolts and your done. One half hour max ! Guaranteed for life.
Guarantee transferable ! AND, as a side benefit will lead to less time spent
fooling around with your exhaust system and less postings about muffler
replacement on the List !

Cheers
