Today, at the Winnipeg Folk Festival (yes, that was a plug!) I saw a Westy with
a novel way of addressing heat build-up on the fridge side of the van. On the
exterior of the van directly opposite to where the fridge sits inside, there
were numerous magnets holding in place a section of reflective aluminium
sheeting. This sheeting is the same stuff you would commonly see unrolled, and
placed on dashboards to reflect the sun back through the windshield when the
vehicle is parked.

The vehicle was unattended so I couldn't chat with the owner about the
effectiveness of this approach but regardless, I didn't want to stick around
because there was just too much great music going on at the numerous festival
stages.
