Thanks, Carroll, for the suggestion to go to my mail handler address list
and set vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com to plain text only.  I found the box for
rich text was already not ticked, but I tinkered around a bit, and perhaps
found another way to simplify text sent to Gerry.  Let's see if this works.
