I have looked into a bunch of Vanagon gas tanks and I never remember seeing
any baffles either.  When my '91 Carat Vanagon (which has the original VW
tank) goes around corners, especially when the gas is low, I get much
fluctuation of the gas gauge.  I mean it goes from saying empty to all the
way to 1/4 tank depending on how hard I corner.  So to me this whole
discussion is baffleing :)

PS I don't sell aftermarket tanks so perhaps this makes me, for once, a
un-involved bystander.
