Everybody seems to agree Coby Smolens is the real thing.
I plan to stop by his shop in a few days to meet him.  But it would be
better to find someone equivilant in the Berkeley area, if possible, as I
have friends there to stay with.
San Rafael's not far, but it's out of the hospitality range of my friends.
    Tomorrow morning I leave this snug homestead in the redwoods for the Bay
Area.
