Not true...He will make you a stroker crank for $1500.
He sells FI systems that replace all or part of the DJ or DF systems.
His ratio rockers are a bolt on fit, alomg with other parts.  Convert the WBX to air cooled and much more T1 parts are basically bolt ON: heads (simply have the bolt pattern slightly enlarged to fit).  The WBX is the BEST of the T1 and T4 design rolled into one package.  It does have a few weak spots though but are cureable.
VW did not do it because it would cost them more money than to simply repair the failures, plus it is a tax write off...
