I tried the painting approach on my window trim this past weekend. Masking
does take patience, about 15 minutes per window, but painting is fairly easy
afterward. I used Rustoleum Satin black and a wide artist brush for painting.
Total cost for the project was less than $5.00.

I'm very pleased with the result and would recommend this  approach to
others. Now my new paint job looks much better.
