    Mark, the STEBRO/Vanagon Stainless Steel Muffler is designed to be
connected to the CAT with a doughnut style gasket.  Do not use a flat gasket
as it will not allow the proper adjustment of the relationship between the
CAT and the muffler.  You may find that the doughnut gasket you received with
your muffler is too large in diameter to make the proper connection.  Some
mufflers were mistakenly shipped with he wrong gasket.  See the <A

obtain the proper gasket at any good automotive supply store if you need one
immediately or I can send you the proper one if you can wait.  The proper
doughnut gasket is UAP 521000, ROL EG24055-001, CTC 17-3281-4, FEL-PRO
60341/9802, AP U.S.A. 8740/, MCCORD 82-0047, Maremont G32, Midas EN1545,
Victor F7355, or Walker 31403.  Let me know.
