From my years in the oil business... when faced with a spill... diesel and
other such nasty stuff we would liberally slosh around white vinegar ...
after cleaning up anything that looked like liquid of course... it worked
better than anything else we could dream up... it was an old wives tale that
work..  I do not know who's old wife told it...
