My dad has an 84 that was our vacation/camping vehicle while I was younger and I wouldn't think of owning any other van. Glad this list is here (message archives are VERY helpful). Need some advice/help: My wife had the unpleasant experience of having the three middle a/c ducts (passenger roof) fall from the roof while driving this morning. I looked around on the internet and found that VW did a recall in 1993 where dealers would install a reinforcement plate on the center and rear air ducts to prevent this problem. This was never performed on our van. Am I crazy to think the local dealer would do this recall work seven years after the initial recall? If so, is there some trick to getting the ducts back in place without taking the front duct (over driver) down? Please send info via e-mail to this address. Thanks in advance for any advice Colin
