Thanks to all who replied on the 120 volts.

I'm off to Lake Tahoe, my annual running camp, but will report back to the
list when I return on the results of my fumbling around with circuit
breakers and plugs.

If you don't hear from me, I forgot to unplug the outside electrical
connection first.
