Subject:1.9 vs. 2.1 heads
From:david kelly

Hi All,
I sent out a cry for help & got some response, but am
hoping for a more definitive answer.

Here's my dilemma:

I have a 1990 syncro w/ a 2.1L wasserleaker. I have
one NEW AMC head on one side & an older VW head w/ a
hairline crack on the other side.

I have a line on a 1984 1.9L head in excellent shape -
reconditioned, not resurfaced.

Will I have problems having a 2.1L on one side & a
1.9L on the other side? I hear the valves are a bit
different & they may create different compression that
could screw up the computer.

Has anyone done this successfully? Being my 6th head
on this engine in less than 2 years, I want it to be
the last for a while.

Please send direct replies if possible,
Thanks,

David Kelly
