If anyone has been lamenting the passing of the rear hatch struts dialogue, perhaps this will satisfy your need for onlineVanagon obscurity. I was cleaning my 89 Westy today after months of use, the inside took me nearly 3 hours. The part of the job that is the biggest pain in the butt is cleaning the stove top, because the grate that covers the toop of the stove makes it really difficult to get all those crumbs and grease off of there, and there is always little bits of grime around the areas where the grate mounts to the stainless surface. I was thinking to myself, there's gotta be somebody on the list serve that both knows what I'm talking about and has figured out a better way to manage this. Michael Schiesser 89 Westfalia Seattle WA
