Here is what another listee told me about Salim's... ----- Original Message ----- To: "Christopher Michael Gronski" <chrisgronski@hotmail.com> Sent: Thursday, August 03, 2000 10:01 PM Subject: Re: Gas Tank Stay away from Salim's Auto Repair, 1487 Queen E. I've had a lot of grief and great expense from him. Peter's Garage, 5 Robert St., gets reasonable reviews, and I've had him do a muffler for me, but you can't get in there (no parking), he won't make or keep appointments, he's not there half the time, and doesn't return messages. I've had better luck with Peter's Volkswagen Service, 1142 Castlefield. Seems very honest and knowledgeable. For major mechanical work, Peter's VW sent me to Auto Shop, 26 Haas Rd., Rexdale. A pain to get to, but seems to know his stuff, and has a full fledged operation. He completely rebuilt my engine, and also does transmissions, etc. They are all expensive, but not as bad as a dealer. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Mighton" <rmighton@passport.ca> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Monday, August 21, 2000 4:01 PM Subject: Toronto Repair Shop Question > I am wondering if any of the Toronto area members have any comments on the > capability of Salims repair service? > > Ron Mighton Toronto, Canada >
