As promised, I have obtained a new shipment of genuine Vanagon fog light
switch kits from Volkswagen/Germany.

These are the switches that mount in the blank spot on your instrument
cluster (below the 4-way "hazard" switch), and match the other switches on
your dash. They are not the Rabbit switches that "kind of match" but the
actual Vanagon ones that identically match your other switches.  They are
intended to turn fog lights on or off, but could also be used to turn pretty
much any 12 volt item on and off. They have an indicator light that turns on
when the foglight, is on.  Installation of the switch itself takes all of
about two minutes (plus the time it takes to run your wiring to it). You
just pop out the blank cover and pop the switch in its place. These have
been in high demand but limited supply since VW discontinued the kit in the
U.S.  (The parts are sometimes available piecemeal, but at a much higher
cost.)

Price is $15.95 for the kit (switch, bulb, and holder).  Part number is ZVW

number toll-free at 1-888-819-DEPOT.  I'll have 10 to ship on Wednesday, and
about two dozen more a week later (when more bulbs come in from a different
supplier).  After that, no more for a while.
