I've received a new shipment of the South African mud flaps that were so
popular on the list last year.  Price is $94.95 including listmember
discount, for a set of all four (front and rear).

These are Genuine Volkswagen parts, designed specifically for the Vanagon.
They are black, and have a white VW emblem on the rears (also an embossed
emblem on the fronts, but since it is black like the mudflaps it isn't very
noticable).  They are designed to clip on to the wheel well.  One pair
(fronts, I think) requires one hole to be drilled inside the wheel well for
a bolt, while the other pair merely clips on.  Hardware and instructions are
included.  You can also fabricate a bracket for them using a short piece of
metal if you want to make the installation more "permanent" that just using
the clips, which is what I did on my van.  These look very sharp and are
easy to install.

Part number is 6881.  It will be back on the website by the end of the day
or tomorrow, or of course you can order toll-free by part number at
1-888-819-DEPOT.  Website price will come up slightly higher, but if you
mention in the comments section that you're a listmember you'll get the
lower price. I have about 50 sets, and probably will sell out relatively
quickly.  Not yet sure how soon I'll get more once they're gone; last time
they were backordered for about 6 months.
