If you get the technical bulletins from your flaps about the hoses or any other item and check out the specs... if the specifications are rigorous enough the part will probably be ok... both Gates and Dayco have OEM departments and both make hoses for VW... Check the specs ...OEM is not a guarantee of quality... see firestone tires
