Look at Roberts post - tell me that the temperatures he's listed aren't significant - and BTW my mechanic, a rebuilder himself, very conservative, does not like the idea of using tri or quad tip plugs - said it could be a problem for the heads. Purposes are defeated all the time - remember columbus. Robert was comparing Bosch to Bosch, tri to quad. >From: CTONLINE@webtv.net >To: mark_hb@hotmail.com (Mark Dorm) >CC: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM >Subject: Re: RE; Better mileage, Yada, Yada, Yada. >Date: Sun, 27 Aug 2000 19:35:19 -0500 (CDT) > >Got news for you, if you are using the same heat range plug, there is no >way, not even at Ripley's, that it would run hotter, no matter how many >electrodes it has. >that would defeat the purpose behind having a system of classifying >plugs, in heat ranges.I might understand that if he put garbage, >Champon's in it and they starting fouling, but your talking the same >mfg! >Sorry, not this time! > >Terry > ><< Message3.txt >> _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
