Before I bought my Vanagon, I called around to some places just in case I
would end up needing engine work or a rebuild... I spoke with Fast German
Auto, and I didn't really get a good feeling from the conversation... One of
the guys wasn't totally upfront in the way he answered a question I had for
him.... I've never spoken with them since, haven't ever driven to their
shop, and haven't given them a penny for anything...
