Looking for any help or suggestion  can get. My 81 Vanagon stalled at
the side of the road this afternoon. This morning on the way to work,
something didn't "feel" right. Idle was much lower than usual, and this
afternoon on the way home, it just died. Symptoms: Give is gas in gear,
seemed to again, slow or slow down. It seemed ok for a couple of
minutes, but as I give it gas, it approached a stall speed. After a
couple of blocks, it just stopped, couldn't even maintain idle speed.
Won't re-start.
Any quick tips or ideas?  Still a few blocks (downhill) from home, so
limited tools on site.
