For smaller parts not on the vehicle, I like to use a 5 gallon bucket filled
with hot water and "super purple" cleaner.  I have found different brands at
my local FLAPS.  Just be careful not to keep it too long on polished parts
or parts with a lacquer (some alloy wheels).
