I drive my 1980 westfalia as a daily driver, no problems......It only has 110,000 on it with a rebuild at 90,000 and runs great!  I would not trade it for anything.  Sometimes I wonder why anyone would even consider a 83 or newer with the water cooled, from the sound of this list they don't sound like a financially attractive way to go.  Air-cooled and happy in CA.
