Hi All, I have had the same thing happen many times throughout the 5 years I have had my 85 Vanagon GL. I have replaced the CV joints, because that is what was clunking on my van, and it was great for a while, then it started again. The easiest way I have found to remedy this and keep them clunk free and working smoothly is to crawl under the van and pump the CV joints full of grease about every six months or so. This is probably not the recommended way to go, but it works for me and its cheap, but keep in mind I make sure the joints are not bad, just needing grease. So know ya know, K G _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
