Subject:Oil Pressure Relief Valve

Does anyone have any suggestions for or "been there, done
that" cautions about removing the Oil Pressure Relief Valve
on their engine?

I've drained my oil, and the slotted head that I'd need to
unscrew to get at the assembly won't budge. Before I go do
something stupid (=expensive), I thought I'd ask for some
advice.

The van's my daily driver...and I've done my daily driving.
So, the engine is still warm, so I'll let it sit until
tomorrow morning, and see if it will unscrew when the block
is cold.

Thanks for any ideas!
