i have problem  with a  1988  gl  Vanagon
it  will  start  then  sometimes  run  and  sometimes  idle then  cut  off
i  can turn  it  over  and over  and  it  will  not  start.
i  can sometimes  turn  it  over  and  hold  the pedal  to  the  floor  and
it will start  then run  just  fine
is this  a  rotor  problem  pick  up problem  in the  distributor or  jut  a
good  ole  bad  fuel problem?
or  maybe it  is a  fuel  pump problem  not  holding fuel  pressure  at the
logs.
anyone's  help  would help.

it  runs fine  after  about  a few  min on the  road
