When I use one of the stove top burners there is a slight smell of gas. I'm
thinking this is simply a matter of tightening the burner gas valve stem
packing nut a quarter turn or so.

But how do I get to it? Bently is no help. How do I remove the top of the
stove to get at the valve assemble??
