I notice that when I turn my ignition key, I head the fuel pump run once for
almost a second, then stop, then it seems to run again for just as long.   A
buddy who helped me install a "new" tansmission noted that his doesn't do
that, and suspected that maybe I have a leak.

Does this sound correct?  Any usual problematic spots that I should check?
