I did pretty much the same thing to my '85 Vanagon last winter. For $60 (Camelback VW) I got a kit that includes ALL of the shifter parts for the linkage at the floor and I replaced the whole thing. Shifts like new again and it was actually a pretty easy job. ___________________________________________________ Donald Baxter TransCore onanov@mindspring.com (home) 404 325 1991 donald.baxter@transcore.com (work) 770 246 6261 (Iowa City) 319 337 0494 www.mindspring.com/~onanov Poetry is good for the corn. ----- Original Message ----- From: "- Lauren Pelzer" <VeeDubVan@AOL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Monday, October 09, 2000 2:47 PM Subject: Shifter Part Needed > I put my van in a shop this morning to get a starter installed.
