Hey all,

Got a bit of a leak in the factory sunroof of my newly
acquired '86 Transporter.  Unfortunately, all of my VW
manuals are in storage somewhere in Mass. and I have
no accessto them as yet.  So I'm asking for advice
from the list as to how to correctly uninstall the old
and
reinstall a new one.

As far as I can tell, the only thing sealing the
sunroof right now is a felt material that runs around
the mating surface rim of the frame and the sunroof
itself.  Is there supposed to be like a rubber/
composite seal there as well?  This van was in Cali-
fornia and I thought maybe that the lack of a seal was
not an issue?

Any insight or help with this procedure is greatly
appreciated.

Oh, also, help with what kind of goop to seal it with
would help too.
