I heard those same words spoken many times by a partner I once had.  He was
from the Old School and he would often say this when we ran into what he
called a "Whore's Nightmare".  He would also wonder about what kind of junk
we were going to have shoved down our throats once our basic industry dried
up.  I imagine he's turning over in his grave so much that they can't keep
grass on it.
