ATTN!!! some bad BUS DEPOT vibes to all... had a coil fire in my 84--you all read about it in some form or another. ordered a NEW (as Julie told me at the BUS DEPOT) bosch blue coil to replace any misintentions in the original equipment. Four days later after having paid 2 day (not the Depot's fault--I guess??) shipping i get a coil.. Too bad it has rusty terminals, grease (like old motor accumulated grease--you know the black s*#t) coating the top with the look of being pulled out of a junker van (although don't get me wrong--I love junkers and the yards the come from. I kept my 80 Rabbit going after buying it for $300 out of junkyard parts without ever being stranded). Back to the junker van with the coil.. I DON"T want to PAY for a "NEW" coil, from a junker bus over the phone with M/C in hand and shipping included!!!!!! I can easily go to the bone yard myself and extract the relic from the beloved brothers of the yard. But the Bus Depot SELLING me one--and not just one, OVER 150 OF THEM IN STOCK!!! I talked to the manager ****DAN***** and he told me they even second guessed selling the coils. Not that they were bad it's just that "they are brand new from twenty years ago" were his exact words. The BUS DEPOT even had a whole shelf full of the blues from Mexico. The GERMAN ones had to be ordered. With this company advertising OEM parts, I would hope they don't mean straight outta some junker old bus. And with the availabilty of products over the f#!k$&g net, we all have to watch out for scams and hacks. SO all beware--I for one am going to Rocky Mtn. Motorworks !!
