I've read others on the list saying that they fill up with high octane fuel. VW says my new '85 is supposed to drink regular unleaded, and I haven't experienced any pinging or knocking (yet). Short of this, are there any other reasons I should be purchasing higher octane fuel? Greg Baskin 85 Westy "Fred" 79 Corolla
