I own a 1982 1.6l TD westy and i cant get the valve cover to stop leaking. I know it is a very common problem with the diesel in part due to the angle of the engine. I was thinking about making an extra thick rubber gasket and putting contact cement glue. It will probably (surely) make the valve cover removal a little difficult next time but at least my engine and driveway will stay clean... Does someone have a better idea?
