Yikes! >But I've been driving for about 36 years now and haven't busted a headlight >yet :) >But for $40 you can buy the lexan protectors... Okay, I've been driving for less than 36 years :P I haven't had a Vanagon light get broken personally, but I know people who have. I have had a golf light broken. I guess it depends on where you live, and what the DOT uses when it snows. In CO where it's illegal to use salt, they use a lot of sand and gravel. Round lights are cheaper than the lexan covers! > >> You can buy an SA Grille, AND round headlights for that amount or >> less. Plus, the round lights have a MUCH better light pattern, even >> better than the H4s. > >Haven't used the round ones but I can tell you that the stock rectangular >ones were the worst headlights I've had in over 30 years... I agree, THE VERY WORST! >and after I put >in the Hella E-Code H4s that David Marshall sells I now have the best >headlights I've had in 30 years... good enough for me... I agree that it's a HUGE improvement. > and I much prefer >the rectangular headlights... why would I want to regress to the round look >of older vans??? Ahh, this is taste. The SA Quad grilles actually are newer, therefore, technically, the rectangular lights are regressive! Again I say :P I like the stylishness of the SA Quads. They really look different from the run-of-the-mill rectangulars. But, that's me. James
