Ahhhh, the wonders of the internet & the Vanagon List!
Steve Shane & Stephanie Endsley, of this List, & recently
returned, amid culture shock, to these shores from their
extensive European travels, are due to arrive at my "redwood
hideout" (as one listee once referred to it) soon after Thanksgiving.
As you know, if you've been paying attention, I am leaving soon
for a winter's adventuring South of the Border. (Now, try not to
let the envy move you to rage & bitterness...)

Steph & Steve are leavning behind an uninsulated cabin in Portland,
Main to venture south into the "wilds" of the Mendocino redwoods
to sit my humble redwood cottage in the wine country, three hours
north of San Francisco.  They are planning to drive south, after a
visit to North Carolina & Thanksgiving at grandma's in Alabama--
I have  advised them to post their itinerary with the List.  I give due
notice in their behalf, in the hope that they will be whisked from
point to point along the way in safety & security--knowing that the
List takes care of it's own.
