It's really starting to get c-c-c-cold, here on the south shores of Lake
Ontario. And that means changing to a more appropriate weight oil for the
next four or so months.
I run Castrol Synthec 20w-50 during the warmer months (mid-March to the
beginning of November). Last winter, I think I ran Mobil-1, 10W-30 (can't
find where I wrote it down, no containers left in the garage).
What I'm driving at is, I know full well that the 20W50 is too heavy for
winter in these parts. Is the 10W30 a better choice, or is another weight
better?
Thanks for the input.
