Hey, give her a break!  She's obviously willing to put up with Vanagons.  I wonder if she knows what she's in for.  I have the opposite problem; a boyfriend with little interest in VWs.  So I go traipsing around junkyards by myself and yes, I've even torqued the heads myself.

RUN, RUN AWAY FAST!! If your wife-to-be ever gets a child, you'll NEVER have
a Porsche! You have to get the Porsche before the marriage, and then it's
"grandfathered" in. Look for a lady who digs Porsches, not so big on kids.
