An old man in his late 70's died from a heart attach quite suddenly and
with no firm funeral arrangements. His 35 year old wife deceided to have
her husband cremated, rather than bury him, and keep his ashes on the
hearth of their beautiful country home.

Several weeks after the funeral, the wife came home from a shopping spree
with bags and bags of goodies. She plopped them all down on the floor and
went to the mantel to retrieve the urn containing the remains of her
husband. Sitting down on the couch, she open the urn and spread the ashes
on the coffee table in front of her.

"George", she said to the ashes, "we never really had a chance to talk, you
being so busy with the business. So I though I'd take this opportunity to
show you a few things I bought at the store today."

"Remember, for the longest time, you said you'd get me a fur coat? Well, I
bought this one today with some of the money from your insurance. Isn't it
lovely? I wish you were here to see me in it. It's very flattering.

And remember you said you'd get me diamond necklace? Well, look at this.
I bought it today with some of the money from your insurance. Not that
expensive, but it is lovely."

The wife repacked the fur coat and diamond necklace in their boxes and
returned to the couch. She sat staring at here late husbands ashes, still
spread out on the coffee table, before finally speaking.

"I've been thinking, George, of the wife I'd been to you during your life.
The insurance money you left gave me these beautiful gifts that you could
not, or would not - for whatever reason - give to me while you were alive.
And I'd like to return the favor, though I wish you were alive to enjoy it.

Remember that bl*wj*b I always promised you? Well, here it comes."
