Subject:Re: fire extinguisher info for vanagons

Hello Bill,

I would worry less about the engine and the wire (with the exception of
connectors) but more about the body and frame of the car. It is almost like
spraying it with a saline solution which is very sticky. Basically steam
clean everything right after the use of an extinguisher and reseal the
surface. Unfortunately the powder will usually be used when there is a fire
which burns the paint and exposes the metal. But sometimes you just have to
make difficult choices: life over limb.

Cheers,

Bjrn
