Seeking advise: I own a 87 GL with 150,000 miles on it. and was debateing on parking it for the winter. I live in Pittsburgh with salty roads and the pot holes suck cars up at times here, especaly in the winter . However I live in the city and walk to work and or the post ofice, vido store excetra. I make a hour comute a few times a week and going out and stuff. So I am thinking of investing in a car and keeping the miles off of the Vanagon so it's ready to go camping in the spring . But as you all know it's not to bad on gas, a good runer and has great heat . I would need to take a loan out for a cheap car. Or should I just drive the Vanagon and save the money to fix it when it breakes or needs the heads replaced or the engine rebuilt. Parinoid ?
