Hello from Atlanta Ga.  My '81 starter malfunctions, usually on it's first
start of the day, by running on for a few seconds after the key is turned
back to "run" position.  I have even had it keep on cranking for a few
seconds with the key withdrawn from the lock itself.

Questions---- Bad starter, lock, ignition switch???
