The reason that Halon is, shall we say, under fire, is that it is has that big bad no-no Fluorine in it... which is a the "F" in "CFC's" Fluorine is also the key behind Teflon... Fluorine by itself is a nasty element and will quickly kill us, and in the air it will interfer with Ozone synthesis. Fluorine for everybody! -Matthew Matthew Pollard http://www.uidaho.edu/~poll7356 Dept. of Chemistry http://www.chem.uidaho.edu University of Idaho http://www.uidaho.edu
