David, The splines are the same but Momo uses a different part number for it. #8012 instead of #8010. I was told that the Vanagon adapter has a cone shaped recess machined behind the splines so that you won't have to move your control cluster upward the way you have to when using Golf/Jetta/Fox/Rabbit/Scirocco/Audi steering wheels.
