Are you getting any heat, or just noise?

How long do you let it run? It takes about 2 minutes for the heat to be
felt-you should hear the fuel pump clicking.

 If you hear the fuel pump clicking but no heat within 3 minutes, then turn
off the heater-the glow/spark plug may have a bad connection, or be defective.

 It's a good idea to remove the pan to inspect the condition of the fuel
lines for signs of wear or leaking.
