Do you actually think a cat would care WHAT you thought? Corporal punishment
is lost on them, they approach the world from the viewpoint that you, and
your posessions, are there for THEIR use. Smacking is viewed with resentful
puzzlement, much like the king would feel if the peasants were to begin a
revolt (What's the problem? They get the scraps from the scullery, what are
they complaining about?)
